UNO R3 SMD Atmega328P Board – Clone Compatible Model
UNO R3 SMD is the open source Embedded Development board based on Atmega328 SMD Package Microcontroller. Because Atmel is moving more and more of their production capacity to surface mount ICs, the DIP packaged ATmega is becoming more and more difficult to get. To keep up with demand, we now offer the Uno R3 with an SMD ATmega. The board is identical to the PTH version of the Uno, but you won’t be able to remove the ATmega without some hot-air.
It’s important to note that the UNO R3 SMD is a surface-mount version, meaning that many of the components are mounted directly onto the surface of the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) rather than using through-hole components. This can result in a more compact and lightweight design. This can be Programmed using Free opensource IDE Called Arduino IDE.
The board is powered by the Atmel ATmega328P microcontroller, which is a high-performance, low-power AVR 8-bit processor. This microcontroller is the brain of the Arduino and is responsible for executing the programmed code.
USB Interface: The board can be connected to a computer via USB for programming and serial communication.
UART (Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter): Used for serial communication with other devices.
The board includes a reset button that allows you to restart the program execution.
Power LED: Indicates that the board is receiving power.
TX/RX LEDs: Show the data transmission/reception activity on the board.
The UNO R3 SMD is compatible with the Arduino software and can be easily programmed using the Arduino IDE.
The board has the standard Arduino UNO form factor, making it compatible with a wide range of shields and accessories designed for the Arduino platform.
It’s important to note that the UNO R3 SMD is a surface-mount version, meaning that many of the components are mounted directly onto the surface of the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) rather than using through-hole components. This can result in a more compact and lightweight design.
Note – To use this board you must have installed CH340G Drivers
